What You'll Require
- 2 x Heavy bottom pot/pan with lid
- 2 x Wooden spoons
- 2 x Serving Bowls
Wash rice 2-3 times in cold water till water runs clear
Soak in cold water for 10 minutes
Coat the sliced beef with the cornstarch for 10 minutes.
Clean, wash and cut spring onion.
Wash, peel and slice ginger into thin julienne / strips.
Cooking Basmati Rice
In a heavy bottom pot add 1.5 ltr of water, salt and a tsp of oil to heat.
Drain the water from the rice and add to a pot of water, bring to a boil on medium heat for 10-15 minutes.
Cook rice till Al-dente, remove from heat and drain into a colander.
Let it Drain completely, fluff with a fork and transfer to a serving bowl.
Cooking Ginger- Spring Onion Beef Stir Fry
In a wok, heat up the oil until very high heat, stir-fry shredded ginger until fragrant.
Toss in beef slices and continue to stir-fry for a few minutes, or until beef is cooked.
Add in the capsicum and sauce, stir-fry a couple of times or until the sauce thickens.
Add spring onions and mix, transfer to a serving bowl.
Serve with steamed Basmati rice.
Serve Beef over Basmati rice and garnish with spring onions.
