Delivery and Ingredients

Where does Daana's Pantry deliver?

We currently deliver across ACT. We hope to expand our delivery area in future to include neighbouring Queanbyean and Googong areas.

When does Daana's Pantry deliver?

We currently have two delivery slots on Monday (4.00 pm to 5.30 pm) and Tuesday (7:00 am to 9.00 am). 

Do I get a Proof of Delivery?

Yes, we take a photo at the time of delivery as proof should there be nobody at the location to accept the delivery. However, please note once the package is delivered by Daana's Pantry as requested, we do not take any responsibility for the security and safekeeping of the box.

Do I have to pay for delivery?

Our delivery charges are $10 per delivery for all plan sizes to all valid locations. 

Can I leave special instructions for delivery?

Yes, please provide any instruction to help us in delivering to your address at the time of placing your order and in your profile if it is a standing instruction.

Can I pick-up my order?

Yes, you can pick up your order from Daana at 83 Theodore Street, Curtin ACT on Monday (4 pm to 5.30 pm) or on Tuesday (10:00 am to 5:00 pm). We have ample free doorstep parking for your convenience. Please indicate that you wish to collect your order at the time of ordering. 

What if I live in a high rise or gated complex or want the delivery to my workplace?

Please leave delivery notes with instructions on how to enter the complex (such as a code or buzzer), or if it’s okay to leave your order at the reception or front gate. If you haven’t left any specific instructions, our drivers will leave your order in the safest place possible.

How are the ingredients for Meal Kits kept fresh during transit, and how should I store them?

Daana's Pantry Meal Kits are packaged in suitable boxes and insulated bags as required for the ingredients. 

Meats, Poultry and Fish, both raw and pre-prepped, are vacuum sealed and then placed in insulated bags with reusable ice packs to keep the food chilled for up to 4 to 5 hours. 

Please store Meat, Poultry and Fish below 5 degrees.

Most of your fresh produce is pre-prepped and vacuum sealed and will stay fresh for a minimum of 4 days after delivery. If stored properly upon delivery, all ingredients should last to the end of your best before date. 

Regarding your herbs, we recommend storing all herbs, except basil in the fridge. The herbs should be at the front of the refrigerator, so they're not too close to the cooling unit, which will make them wilt. 

You can then recycle most of this packaging. 

How are the Ready Meals kept fresh during transit, and how should I store them?

Daana's Pantry Ready Meals are hygienically prepared with care and importantly contain no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours. Ready Meals are blast chilled before being packed and sealed. We deliver Ready Meals in suitable insulated bags with reusable ice packs that keep food chilled for up to 4 hours before being packed away in the fridge. 

If stored properly upon delivery, all Ready Meals should last to the end of your best before date. 

You can then recycle most of this packaging. 

How do I reheat Ready Meals?

Please follow the instructions on the label on the Meal Tray to reheat the meals. The tray is safe to place in the oven or microwave. However, do not place the tray under a grill.

Recipes and Ingredients

Where does Daana's Pantry source its ingredients from?

At Daana's Pantry, we're incredibly passionate about sourcing local produce through local and regional suppliers to guarantee the quality of our ingredients. Our ingredients and fresh produce are chosen with sustainability in mind from suppliers who share a similar passion. We aim to provide Australian grown and packaged products where possible. For our canned goods, we look for products that contain no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours.  

Do you offer vegetarian recipes or cater to vegans?

Yes! We offer at least two vegetarian dishes as well as two vegan options each week in the Meal Kits section and one vegetarian dish, as well as one vegan option each week in the Ready Meals section. We are giving you a total of three Vegetarian and three Vegan options to choose from each week!

Do I have to subscribe to Meal Kits and Ready Meals separately?

We don't separate Meal Kits and Ready Meals in your plans. We want to give you the flexibility to design your week's meal plan to suit your convenience and to meet your needs. You now have the choice of balancing your time in the kitchen and family time without compromising on what they eat. With a combination of both types of meals, you don't have to cook every Meal!

How long will the ingredients stay fresh after delivery?

We vacuum seal the Meat, Poultry, Fish and fresh produce and other ingredients as necessary, before packing them in insulation bags with ice packs. This way, the ingredients stay at a safe temperature during transit until you can pack it away in the fridge. 

You don't have to be home for the delivery. The insulated bags and the ice packs keep things cool and fresh for up to 4 to 5 hours. However, it is advisable that you put the food away in the fridge at the earliest. Once received and stored in the refrigerator, they can be stored there for 4 more days.

When and how can I see the Meal Kit recipes and Ready Meals for the following week?

We send a weekly email to our customers to showcase ten new Meal Kit recipes and four new Ready Meals and the Frozen Meals for the coming weeks. You can also preview four week's recipes on our website under the View Menu.

Do I need ingredients in addition to what you deliver in my Meal Kits?

Yes, just a few pantry staples such as cooking oil, olive oil, eggs, milk, yogurt, salt, pepper and sugar, which we assume our customers have at home. Every time you select a meal kit you can see what extra ingredients you'll need for each recipe on the Daana’s Pantry website.

Do you cater for food intolerances?

If you have an allergy or intolerance to any ingredient, we request you to read the Allergen Information before making your selection. In some instances, for the Meal Kits, you can swap out those ingredients, but that will be up to you.

While we mark all allergens in our meals and recipes on our website; we cannot guarantee that the meals will be free of traces as we prepare it in areas that may have traces of allergens.

Do your Meal Kits and Ready Meals carry nutritional information?

Yes, nutritional and allergens information is available on our website and meal tray labels.

Subscriptions and Boxes

What boxes do you offer?

We currently offer three plan types: Meal for 1, Meal for 2 and Meal for 4. 

You can choose from Meal Kits and/or Ready Meals in your plans because we want you to have the flexibility to plan your week's meals that meet your needs.

What is the difference between the Meal for 1, Meal for 2, and Meal for 4?

Daana's Pantry Meal Kits are ideally suited for that many numbers of Adults. The Meal for 4 can feed up to 4 adults, so families with young children will have a little leftover for lunch the next day.  

Whereas, each Daana's Pantry Ready Meals is sufficient for two adults. So, if you choose a Ready Meal in a Meal for 1 plan, you will have little leftover in most instances.

How can I switch boxes?

You can change your plan anytime. However; we need to receive your instruction 7 days before your next delivery schedule to effect the change.

To change your existing plan, please select MY ACCOUNT → Manage Subscriptions → Edit the Box → Cancel Subscription.

You can now re-subscribe to your new plan to you change your box type.

What is a flexible subscription?

A flexible subscription means you decide which weeks to receive Daana's Pantry deliveries, and you only pay for what you receive. Visit your account settings to switch weeks on and off, or to cancel your subscription. You can plan up to 4 weeks in advance!

How do I cancel my subscription?

While we will be sad to see you go, you can easily do so in MY ACCOUNT area under "My Subscriptions" and select CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION.

However; please note that we need to receive your instruction 7 days before your next delivery schedule to effect the change.

Does Daana's Pantry choose the meals or do I need to choose them? 

We know that choosing a meal each week is as exciting as receiving your box itself. Each week you will receive an email with information about the Meal Kit recipes and Ready Meals for you to choose.

However; please note that in the event that you do not choose your meals by Friday 9.30pm, we will treat it as if you wish to receive the ‘Chef’s Selection of the week’ . You will then receive a box best suited to your Meal Plan the following week.

However; if you do want us to deliver the box of your choice after the cut-off time, we request you contact us as early as possible (before Monday morning), and we will do our best to help you receive a box as per your request.

What happens if I forget to make my meal selection by Friday 9.30 pm?

We understand that life can get hectic, and you may forget to make your selections. In such an instance, we will treat it as if you wish to receive the ‘Chef’s Selection of the week’ . You will then receive a box best suited to your Meal Plan the following week.

However; If you do want us to deliver the box of your choice after the cut-off time, we request you contact us as early as possible (before Monday morning), and we will do our best to help you receive a box as per your request.

Seasonal Fruit Bag

What is the fruit bag?

The Seasonal Fruit Bag is filled with seasonal fruit and delivered to your doorstep alongside your Daana's Pantry box. Every Fruit Bag contains around 4 to 5 varieties of fruit, approximately 12 to 15 pieces of seasonal fruits.

How does it work?

The Seasonal Fruit Bag is available to all Daana's Pantry customers. It can be added along with your weekly meal delivery, saving you that trip to the supermarket to buy your fruit fix or that morning smoothie! 

What types of fruit do I receive?

You'll get a bag with approximately 12 to 15 pieces of seasonal, fresh and locally sourced fruits that will stay fresh & firm for 4 to 5 days which means you have plenty of time to consume them any which ways you like – snack, baked or juiced!

How much does the Fruit Bag cost?

Weekly delivery of fresh fruit will cost $25.00 in addition to your weekly subscription. There is no additional delivery cost.

When can I expect my Fruit Bag?

You'll always get your fruit bag delivered with your Daana's Pantry weekly meal box. You can add or remove the Fruit Bag from your order just like you would with your meals.
